Ricoh updates production line-up with new black and white powerhouses

The latest of Ricoh’s black and white production engines will be launched at PacPrint, offering delegates the best opportunity to see them in a demanding environment with a host of fully implemented software solutions.

Designed to cope with the toughest demands without faulting in robustness and quality, the Pro 907/1107/1357EX offer the latest technology available for production black and white digital printing.

The new range of devices integrates with Ricoh’s industry-leading suite of finishing options, including the only fully automated inline ring binder available in the industry, as well as Perfect Binder, GBC StreamPunch, Plockmatic and Multi Fold Unit. These allow users to save time and money, by reducing the need for operators to touch the job at each point. In turn, this means less potential for errors in the job and a more efficient production workflow overall.

Designed for the demands of inplant and Print for Pay services, the new production range also boast paper support for up to 300 gsm with an air assist feed, a maximum paper capacity of 8,050 sheets in up to 9 different feed stations, providing numerous document building options.

When being ‘online’ is crucial, the new black and white engines assure maximum uptimewith Trained Customer Replacement Units (TCRU) available to reduce downtime and therefore optimise productivity. With TCRU, customers are trained to replace parts themselves; therefore preventing downtime and optimising productivity. At the next scheduled maintenance service, the TCRU is replaced for future requirements to ensure continued reliability. In addition, the Pro range’s consumables can be replaced while the machine is still running.

“Although the popularity of colour printers continues to grow rapidly, our experience has shown that black and white devices capable of fast print speeds that offer exceptional finishing continue to be in high demand,” said Kathy Wilson, General Manager of Production and Business Solutions for Ricoh Australia. “These engines will give printers a better way to increase their services and help improve their revenue streams.”

“Clients can expect the same great engines as before, further refined and improved to help maximise cost savings and improve efficiency. On top of that they’ll reap the benefits of our collaborative approach to providing the latest solutions and services,” Wilson added. The three new models are being released to coincide with PacPrint, and can be fully integrated with Ricoh’s full range of specialised software. Each offers duplex and simplex speed, automatic tray switching for uninterrupted workflow, colour scanning at 80 ppm with batch scanning of up to 2,000 pages and is backed up with the latest release, customised Fiery controller.

To celebrate the launch of these new engines, Ricoh will be offering special incentives for purchases made at PacPrint – see their stand at R30 for more details.
